Sunny Brae Avenue Elementary is a wonderful neighborhood school located in Winnetka, California. We are a dynamic and diverse community in the northwest San Fernando Valley. Sunny Brae is fortunate to have excellent teachers and wonderful staff members.In addition to the standards based curriculum, we offer enrichment opportunities as well as targeted interventions for our students. We are very proud of our many accomplishments to date, but are even more excited about the future of our school.
Sunny Brae’s campus is filled with wonderful students, caring parents, amazing teachers and a fantastic support staff. Throughout our campus, you can see evidence of the value we place on our children’s future. College begins at kindergarten and every year builds on that foundation. We strive to prepare our students to be successful in their education and their personal well-being. Our language arts curriculum is enhanced through the Accelerated Reader and Lexia programs where students can challenge themselves to read, read,read and gain recognition for their efforts. Much of our learning incorporates technology. The hard work of our students, teachers and parents is paying off because this year our Academic Performance Index or API is 830; schools scoring over 800 are considered high performing schools.
